Tj Wicks

Hailing from Chickasha, Oklahoma, TJ Wicks has honed his craft for over a decade. His musical journey began at the age of 12 when he started taking guitar lessons from the renowned jazz guitarist and former Texas Playboy Joe Settlemires. After years of playing in Southern Oklahoma, he made the pivotal decision to move to Austin, Texas, where he spent several years cutting his teeth in the bars and honky-tonks in Central Texas. In early 2022, TJ returned to his roots, moving to Cherokee County, Oklahoma, where he now resides with his wife. 

TJ's music is a rich tapestry woven from a diverse range of influences. He draws inspiration from artists like Jason Boland, the Turnpike Troubadours, Bob Wills, Garth Brooks, Sturgill Simpson, and The Flatlanders, creating a unique sound that resonates with a wide audience.

TJ is also inspired by blues artists like Muddy Waters, Lightning Hopkins, Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Buddy Guy.

Whether TJ is playing the blues on 6th Street in Austin, rocking a honky-tonk in southern Oklahoma, or picking on the Ghost Town Porch in Terlingua Texas, TJ is right at home.

When Tjs not on the road, Tj enjoys being the world's worst ranch hand, playing 9 with his Good timing friends, and hanging out with family
